why do we enter rooms?

When Esther invited me to develop a choreography for her installation, an article came to my mind which was written by the cultural studies theorist Irit Rogoff:(1) in this she describes a practice she had developed in the context of an exhibition opening by the artist Jackson Pollock, whose opera is ascribed to Modernism: the conception of Pollock’s paintings envisaged that the viewers should contemplatively immerse themselves in them.
